April Fool's...Take two!

Yep! Exactly 1 week after her last ER visit, we were back again! This time with what I thought was a dislocated shoulder. She was getting dressed for school, heard a loud pop in her shoulder and couldn't move her arm without a lot of pain. It didn't end up being dislocated, but it may have slipped in and out of socket and pinched a nerve. She was finally able to relax after they gave her a muscle relaxant. I've never taken my kids to the ER at EIRMC, and this made for two visits in 1 week. I'm pretty sure they think I'm a little crazy!

April Fool's!

This was definitely a one of a kind April Fool's day! Liv hadn't been feeling well the night before (some sort of stomach bug) and went to bed early. I woke in the middle of the night to a big thud in the hallway next to my bedroom door! I opened the door to find Liv had passed out on the hallway floor. I woke her up, she said she needed to go to the bathroom, so I helped her to the bathroom where she passed out again! I couldn't wake her, so I yelled for Dave. He also couldn't wake her! He drove like an absolute crazy person to the ER, while I got dressed, woke Addi and met him there. She was still not waking up when I got there- so it had been at least 10 minutes. She finally woke after they used smelling salts, but she got the whole workup- CT, and a whole bunch of labs.

Turned out that they never found a cause for her passing out and not responding for so long, but you can bet I ordered a package of smelling salts to keep at home!
