This
year for Spring Break we were finally able to go to Louisiana! We spent
several days in New Orleans before traveling to Eunice to see where
Dave grew up.
Jackson Square
Airboat Swamp Tour
This was SO much fun!! The girls were a little timid at first...
but by the end of the tour they were holding the baby
alligator without a second thought!
We were also able to take Rylee with us...FLAT Rylee that is ;)
She needed to travel for a school project, and we had a lot of fun with her!
Audobon Zoo- New Orleans
Oak Alley Plantation- Vacherie, LA
Eunice, LA
We
were able to spend a day driving around Eunice to see where Dave used
to live, go to school, work, etc. We enjoyed seeing some of the places
we have heard about! We met up with his brother, Stevie, and his family
for dinner. The kids had a blast getting to know their cousin, Jules,
and swimming in the hotel swimming pool.
And Uncle Dave, once again, won over his nephew with a little Snap Chat :)
Such
a great trip for us all! None of us were super impressed with New
Orleans (it was super dirty and wasn't really our kind of place), but
loved the Louisiana country and small towns. It reminds me so much of
North Carolina...almost makes me want to move. Almost ;)
