Addi turned 8 years old this year and was able to be baptized! She was beyond excited for it to finally be her turn, although a little nervous about going under the water. For some reason she and Liv were really concerned about the possibility of drowning in the baptismal font. We went to a neighbors baptism the month before so that Addi could see how it all worked and calm her nerves. She did great, but had to be baptized two times because Dave used the words "holy spirit" instead of "holy ghost." It gave everyone a good laugh anyway :) We neglected to get a good picture of those who came to support Addi, but we had lots of neighbors, ward members and family members there to help her celebrate! She got to decide what we ate for her celebration dinner and she chose chicken enchiladas and root beer floats :)

Addi's dress was beautiful! She only wore it a couple of times though because it was seriously high maintenance...very fluffy and difficult to maneuver in and out of the car, or in and out of the bathroom, or up and down the stairs, etc. She had many compliments on it and said she felt like a princess in it :)
We are really proud of Addi and her decision to be baptized. We made sure she knew exactly what was expected of her, the covenants she would be making, and the blessings she would receive if she decided to be baptized. She has really grown up a lot over the last year, and is becoming a beautiful little lady! Her testimony has grown and she has shared it with others during sacrament meeting several times. I am proud of her and so glad she is part of our family!
